Very tasty food, quite environment, good place to go with family and friends
I love their fish fry including a Lazy Susan. Cool supper club.
Great fish fry!
My husband and I had received a gift certificate and used itr this past Saturday night, October 19th. I am giving it a 2 because the crab-stuffed shrimp were a joke. It consisted of about 6 mini-shrimp that were butterfly and barely stuffed. They were too small to be stuffed. For $18.99, the meal was way over-priced. We won't be going back.
Amazing relish tray! You don’t see this in WI often enough!
Best fish fry in the area. Well worth the wait every time.
Little disappointing for me. Received so many good reviews. The food was hot and fresh, just was a little bland for me. But the noise in the dining room was through the roof. Hard to have a conversation with your table. The service inside the dining area was excellent. Bar area was friendly when not talking with regulars.
The Elias Inn is a true Gem of WisconsinSupper Club. They offer all of the traditional dinneroptions incuding several combination plates.Such as Fried Chicken and BBQ Ribs.Wonderful friendly service and reasonableprices.
Great sides fish was good
CALL ahead for reservations. Even though they have a great bar, seating is tight and no amount of delicious old fashions will change that. Seating is a bit tight but oh my the authenticity of a German fish fry is amazing! You won't be sorry you came. Wait staff are kind and on top of things.
Good food quality, great service. It would have had been nice to have had a veggie option and I would have thought a place of this stature would have had crumbled blue cheese. Very good experience overall.
Friday closed menu, fish fri and broil, roasted chicken, all you can eat. Lazey Susan of German and Am. Potatoe salad, baked beans, rye bread, slaw, tartar sauce. All you can eat. Jim had a old fashioned with fruit. Chicken well done. Very busy. Families. Start serving at 4.00 pm get there at 3.30 if you don't want a 40 minute wait. No reservations taken on Friday. Saturday night is prime rib night and get reservations. Wed. And Wednesday and Thursday night is good Steak night. Bar is busy and old. This is for sale. Built in 1880s. After my Grandma was born and Abraham Lincoln died. Very pretty inside and historic. Stain glass windows. Lovely. Hunt for this, it's unusual and homemade food. Neighborhood. Mary N.
I love. I love old school traditional supper club restaurants and Elias is just that. Everything about Elias screams old school. The food, service is great
Awesome food. I have never had a bad meal. I would recommend them to everyone.
Great food and atmosphere. You get a lot of food for your money, most people leave with to go containers. Strongly suggest making reservations.
Phenomenal experience great atmosphere
Good food, authentic supper club of years gone by. Good food focused toward German dishes.
Decent food, not too pricey
This is another hidden gem, best fish fry for miles around. On Friday's they have a closed menu. All you can eat fish baked and fried plus chicken. And of course all the typical sides. The bar area is a pretty typical Wisconsin bar. But the dining room has the feel of an old world German restaurant.. good food and good atmosphere... On Friday's there is a wait, but for good reason.
Never been disappointed.
Perfect supper club atmosphere great food and service my kind of place
Great food. Excellent drinks. Good people. Busy on Friday's for fish fry but it's definitely worth the wait!
My favorite place to dine!! Prime rib is excellent
You get a lot for what you pay for. You get 3 extra sides prior to your main course. Choosing from their soup of the day or cottage cheese, a salad or juice, and a potatoe to go with your main dish. Although this place doesn't have many options if you are vegetarian, only have pasta or a small salad and maybe the soup if it doesnt contain meat. Overall, the atmosphere was calm, it was a busy place for dinner, but all the meals looked delicious.
First time visit and we had a warm welcome on a cold winters night! Loved the rotating relish plus extras dish. Everyone tried something different as main course and no one was disappointed. Korissa was our server and was wonderful.
Would absolutely recommend visiting this place. Exceptional ambience, yummy dishes, great customer service. I recommend this place.
Great fish fry! Great server!
Best Friday all you can eat Fish Fry
Quant place! Good food and drinks!
Old school supper club with good food!
Very good food. Great service.
Our families FAVORITE place for a fish fry. My wife is not big fish eater and is in love with their fish fry!!!!
Great place to go when you have nothing else to do
If you are looking for a small cozy supper club Elias Inn is your place to go! One of the best Friday fish frys in the area. Prepare for a lengthy wait if you arrive after 5pm. There is a small bar area to have a drink while you wait. If you are looking for Saturday night prime rib specials make sure you have reservations...you will not be disappointed!
Review is of Friday fish fry only.. it's one of the best in the state in my opinion! Worth the wait
We tried the fish fry. It was ok. Our fish came out fast but some of it was over cooked. Wont be back.
The Elias Inn servers the BEST fish fry!!! They don't take reservations on Friday nights. The wait is usually an hour or more. I promise, it is worth the wait!!
I am new to town and was looking for a new favorite dinner spot with my family. Food was great but unfortunately I was treated as an outsider in a close nit kinda town. My family and I were given several dirty looks by the waiters and the service was subpar. Despite the $140 bill and a very generous tip I still feel unwelcome. I hope in the future new customers are welcomed with open arms in a town they have now made home.
Its a great cozy sit down restaurant to have a great dinner experience at. Delicious food from relish tray to main course.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Friday fish fry! Baked fish is amazing and so flavorful! Always worth the wait.
Always great good and drink. Best old fashioned around. Prime rib is tasty and wait service great.
The relish tray you get with some meals is the bomb. Food was great. Make sure to make reservations though! Place has a nice German feel to it. Definitely a must stop.
Elias Inn Watertown, WI - this was a fun first visit. Ron Faiola's "Wisconsin Supper Clubs" brought us in. We started at the bar, enjoying a couple Wisconsin classics - Brandy Old Fashioneds while learning a little history of the place from the bartender. The evenings host prepared our table and escorted us into the eclectic dining room where our server, was great - she signed our book and informed us she'd been serving at Elias Inn over 20 years and loved it - and it showed, she took great care of us. "She" had the scallops and I had the Rib - our entrees and sides were all delicious - this was a really fun visit. We're looking forward to visiting Elias Inn again when we get that direction. Stop in and have cocktail, stay for dinner - I know you'll be glad you took time to experience Elias Inn in Watertown, WI
Went on a Friday. The fish fry was pretty cool! Definitely will go back
Old fashioneds were supposed to be one of there better drinks people raved about, NOT made in traditional way, disapointing from what i remembered years ago. Owner/Bartender seemed arrogant. Food was average. Highly overated, long wait times ...time to move on and up to better places! Not worth the wait just to belly up to the bar and wait... 😴 zzz
Great food. The filet mignon melted in mouth. The service was excellent
The service was friendly, knowledgeable and effecient. We tried the shrimp and chicken breast with cheese & mushrooms. Both were delicious! So glad we were treated to the Elias Inn!
Excellent food and service!
Great fish fry with good drinks. Some of the best prime rib around also. Excellent service and outstanding bartenders and waitresses.
Food was great service was awesome wait was a bit long but worth it
